FFMIC 2026 Fall is underway: Play-Ins this week, Paris rosters return on 6 August

While the Paris squads catch their breath, the next season of Indian Free Fire has already started. TEZ FFMIC 2026 Fall Play-Ins are live right now, running Monday, 20 July to Sunday, 26 July, with 84 teams fighting for 42 Group Stage places. If you want to scout the teams that could be India’s next world-cup names, this is the week to watch.

What is happening this week

The Play-Ins field of 84 comes from three routes: the 12 City Qualifier champions, 66 teams from the FFC in-game qualifiers, and the six teams that placed 7th to 12th at the Spring Finals. They are split into seven groups of twelve, one group playing per day, six matches each. The top six of every group advance; the bottom six go home. By Sunday night the 42 Group Stage qualifiers will be known.

Matches stream on the official Free Fire Max India Esports YouTube channel, with Hindi commentary as the main broadcast. No ticket, no app: just YouTube.

Where the big names enter

The rosters India sent to the World Cup are not in the Play-Ins. Under the tournament structure, the Spring Finals top six hold direct Group Stage seats, and that covers the three organisations whose lineups played Paris: Total Gaming Esports, plus the former Team HIND championship roster now with Team Apex Gaming and the Spring runner-up lineup now with S8UL, per Liquipedia and tournament coverage. All three are set to enter on Thursday, 6 August, when the Group Stage begins; Garena’s official Group Stage team list is still to come.

The full roadmap

• Play-Ins: Monday, 20 July to Sunday, 26 July. 84 teams, 42 advance.
• Group Stage: Thursday, 6 August to Sunday, 16 August. 48 teams (42 qualifiers + 6 Spring seeds); the first week runs Thursday 6 to Sunday 9 August, the second Friday 14 to Sunday 16 August.
• Knockout Stage: Friday, 28 August to Sunday, 13 September, across three weekends, with 18 teams.
• Grand Finals: offline, 12 teams, decided by the Champion Rush format (cross 90 points, then win a Booyah). Garena has not announced the date or venue yet.

The prize pool is ₹1,00,00,000, with ₹35 lakh for the champions, the same structure the Spring season paid out in April.

Why this season carries extra weight

Paris made the stakes clear. India put two rosters in a world final and still finished outside the top ten, and the gap showed most in the biggest matches. FFMIC Fall is where the next answer gets built: new lineups get their first A-tier lobby time, and the Paris rosters get to prove the World Cup form was a floor, not a ceiling. One honest caveat about what this season leads to: India’s route to the FFWS 2026 Global Finals in Bangkok is not officially confirmed yet. Garena has published the Global Finals window (Friday, 6 November to Sunday, 29 November, 24 teams) but not the slot distribution, and no official source has tied the FFMIC Fall winner to a Bangkok place so far. Dates for your calendar

If you follow one stream this week, make it Sunday’s final Play-Ins group, when the last Group Stage places get decided. After that, circle Thursday, 6 August for the Group Stage opener with the Paris rosters back in action. Between now and then there is plenty to claim in-game too: the 9th Anniversary rewards end this Sunday, 26 July, and the BLUE LOCK Chapter 2 event runs through mid-August.
