FFMIC 2026 Fall: GodLike top week 1 as week 2 cuts the field to 18 teams
Week 1 of the FFMIC 2026 Fall Group Stage is finished, and the top of the table already looks scary. GodLike Esports put up 154 points in six matches, the best single group score of the week. Week 2 starts on Friday 14 August and cuts the field from 36 teams down to 18.
One naming thing first. The event is the Free Fire MAX India Cup, not the “Championship”. Plenty of aggregator sites print it wrong. Prize pool is Rs 1 crore, TEZ is the sponsor, and the tagline is “Forge your Legacy”.
What week 1 settled
Forty-eight teams opened this stage. Six came in as the Spring 2026 top six and 42 came through the Fall Play-Ins. Week 1 ran from 6 to 9 August with four groups of 12, one group per day, six matches each.
Top 9 from every group moved forward, so 36 teams stayed alive and 12 went home in week 1 itself.
Scoring is easy to follow. Placement pays 12, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0 and 0 from first down to twelfth, and every kill adds one point on top. Kill-hungry squads can climb without a single Booyah.

Two numbers stand out. Orangutan x TSG had 97 kills, the highest of week 1, and still won their group by a smaller total than GodLike won theirs, because Booyahs pay big. Team Apex Gaming won Group A with zero Booyahs, purely on steady placements and 89 kills.
How week 2 works
Week 2 runs 14 to 16 August. The 36 survivors split into three groups of 12, one group per day, six matches each again. Only the top 6 from each group reach the Knockout Stage, so 18 teams live and 18 die.
Half the remaining field goes out in three days. One early wipe is very hard to fix inside a six-match day.
Friday 14 August: Group A is the hard one
Group A is the ugliest draw of the three. GodLike, Team Apex Gaming, Retired Pros and Revenant XSpark are all in the same lobby, fighting over six tickets. Filling out the group are Clutza Esports, PVS Gaming, Rofani Esports and NG Pros. Behind them sit The MVPS, LEARNFROMPAST, Kingz Army and SGU Esports.
Revenant XSpark carry the most pressure here. Their 83 points was the weakest score among the invited six, and they only finished 6th in their week 1 group while the other five all won or nearly won theirs. Seedhi baat, one flat day on Friday and a Spring top-six team is out.
GodLike look strong, but points do not carry over. Every team starts week 2 on zero.
Saturday 15 August: Total Gaming against S8UL
Saturday has the clash most people will watch. Total Gaming Esports finished week 1 on 147 points, second only to GodLike. S8UL Esports closed on 106 with one Booyah, which is fine but not safe in this lobby.
Joining them are Resurrection Esports, Team Evolution, Insane Power, Chillmates and Cruel Esports. Then come Team Chaos, SKILLMAX, Black Flag Army, RTX Esports and RM Esports. Group B looks slightly softer at the top, so a mid-table squad with two good drops can steal a Knockout spot.
Sunday 16 August: Group C and the kill machines
Orangutan x TSG headline the last day. Their 136 points came with 97 kills, more than anyone else managed in week 1. That style pays well in a lobby that is not stacked at the top, and Group C fits that shape.
RNX Esports (89 points, 64 kills) are the other familiar name. The rest of the group is Team Elite, Vasiyo Esports, Adziputs, Naaz Esports and The W Squad. After them come Assassins Army Esports, Rackers Esports, FX Elite, Nebula Esports and NKG Esports.
Why the Spring champion is playing as Team Apex Gaming
This one trips up a lot of people, so here it is straight. Team Apex Gaming carry the Team HIND roster that won Spring 2026, acquired on 15 June 2026. S8UL Esports carry the Fireeyes Gaming roster that finished Spring as runner-up.
Both Spring finalists are still here, just under new org names. If you search the week 2 lists for Team HIND or Fireeyes Gaming, you will not find them, and that is not a bracket error. Do not mix up Fireeyes Gaming with Fireeyes Glory either. Fireeyes Glory is a separate team that played week 1 in Group B and went out in 10th.
Check any group list you see online
Some sites are running a “FFMIC 2026 Group Stage Week 2” page that is actually last season’s Spring groups, with March dates and teams like Team Hind and Gyan Gaming in it. If a list shows squads you never saw in week 1, or dates in March, it is the Spring bracket and not this one. The groups above are what the Liquipedia bracket for this event lists as of 11 August.
Before you plan your evening around one team, cross-check the official channel or the Liquipedia page. Groups can still shift if a team withdraws, and any change shows up there first.
How to watch week 2
All three days run on the same clock. The six matches go at 17:50, 18:20, 18:50, 19:20, 19:50 and 20:20 IST, and the pre-show usually starts a little before match 1.
Official stream is the Free Fire MAX Esports India Official channel on YouTube, simulcast on Facebook. Hindi and English casts both run.
Start times can slip a few minutes when a lobby hits a technical delay. Opening the stream ten or fifteen minutes early is safer than joining at exactly 17:50.
